The Product – HTM's Technology, Features, Description

HTM is a newly introduced product, and an original technology concept. It does, as mentioned earlier, incorporate advanced hi tech, but all technologies are available and in use today . This great advantage will help reduce development cost, and development time frame.

Technology Realization

HTM is an integration of 4 main systems:

A. Machine Vision in charge of “seeing” and mapping at real time recipient's body. Machine Vision has made tremendous progress in the last decade. Available technology.

B. Robotic Motion will carry out all movements of arms and hands. Available technology.

C. Controller that is basically an onboard computer with appropriate software managing all activities and programs. Available technology.

D. Prosthetic Hands. Various manufactures specialize in this field. It is a crucial component that would determine our success, and therefore will be a key issue in our developing efforts.

The technologies as described are all already on hand, and available in the market. Our development efforts would therefore focus on integration of the best suitable components.

Product Description

Human Touch Massager is to provide relaxation and calmness. It will mimic the real human massage and the real human touch, in the same manner as would be done by a human – providing a pleasant relaxing sensational massage over all parts of the body. H.T.M. operates independently without involvement of the recipient. The recipient is lying passively on a bed, and being treated from above. He can even fall asleep during this treatment.

The operation of H.T.M. is in two modes:

•  Relax mode.

•  Massage mode.

Let us see how it operates.

A. Relax mode

1. Shivering sensation

Soft caressing movements (of an artificial finger) that moves slightly and gently over the skin. Movements that cause a pleasant shivering sensation over the skin. The movements are as randomly drawing (curves, lines and circles) on a certain area, in a few strokes, then raising up the "finger" and moving up to a nearby spot, and so going on and on.

These movements will be carried over all parts of the body: back, arms, shoulders, and legs.

2.  Scratching

In a second stage of the relaxing mode, the finger will be replaced by a "scratching finger”, doing the above same motions.

3.  Pre Massaging

In the third and final stage of the relaxing mode, the massager continues with the same above movements but with "four fingers", with a little more pressure applied, thus getting the recipient into a pre massage treatment.

B. Massage mode

Two “hands” performing kneading actions will carry out the massage. The human touch massage will be gently imitated prosthetically in the following way:

Four fingers attached and slightly bent with thumb parted from them in a U shape. The hands get down making contact with recipient body, and then the U closes up to an O shape, thus producing a kneading massage. It would repeat (U to O) three to four times, then hands rise upwards, move slightly and then go down starting a new cycle. This massage act will of course be carried over all parts of the body, same as in the relaxing mode.

C. Operation

Our machine is designed so recipient is totally passive so one could even fall asleep. Turning on the operation via a remote control will have a default program running on. Recipient can select from a variety of custom-settings saved earlier.

All parameters: Type (Relax, Massage), Duration, Kneading pressure, Pressing pressure, Speed of movements, Location (Back, Arms Shoulders, Legs) would be accessible and controllable, at any time by recipient. One could select "concentration" of desired action, and location for repeats beyond the default setting, or "skipping" to move ahead to the next step. If certain treatment were preferred, it would then be saved, for reactivation at any desired time.
